Role Summary
Are you a Data Scientist with at least 5 years of working on Natural Language Processing (NLP) problems in both commercial and competitive environments? We are offering a rare and rewarding opportunity to help build state of the art capabilities for a premier firm serving the Financial Services Industry.
The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and work with Process Engineering & Automation, Content Operations and Managed Services and Technology partners to develop NLP features relating to a variety of concepts, languages and sources. Multi-lingual NLP abilities are a plus.
Role Responsibilities
You will have rapidly (< 1 month) researched, built and evaluated multiple NLP models using a range of classical (e.g. Transformers) and sophisticated methodologies (e.g. NN) with near-production level code quality on a number of projects.
We expect the candidate to use Cloud and Desktop Based Hardware Instances and develop in a collaborative manner.
You will be required to keep abreast of latest industry and academic research, sharing insights and applications with core and non-core team members.
You are expected to independently solve Classical NLP Problems including:
- Named Entity Recognition
- Deep Learning
- Text Summarization
- Sentiment Models
Required Skills
- Pre-Processing Text Data
- Model Error Analysis and Debugging
- SciKit Learn, NLTK, spaCy, Stanford CoreNLP ,LSTM , Transformers
- TensorFlow
- Python , Docker, AWS
- Data Collection, Processing and Analysis
Preferred Skills
- Ability to guide colleagues to craft the pipeline and workflow for models
- Hyper parameter optimization, regularization, feature engineering
- Data Visualization
- Basic understanding of Financial Markets
Experience and Qualifications Required
- Engineering/Mathematical/Statistical background
- At least 5 years working experience on NLP problems in academic or commercial requirements
