About the role

At Cognizant we are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer with strong experience in training and deploying complex deep learning models for computer vision (CV) and natural language processing (NLP) applications. The Machine Learning Engineer will work closely with a team of data scientists, helping them deliver models that can be deployed to production in an efficient and reliable way according to MLOps best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Your main task will be to help data scientists re-implement their computer vision and NLP models for use in production:
• Adapt computer vision and NLP models in Jupyter notebooks for production deployment.
• Integrate models into the MLOps framework (feature store, model registry, serving endpoints).
• Review and improve the models' code, looking for performance issues and enforcing best practices.

Job Requirements

Essential Skills (Mandatory Skills)

• MSc. or PhD. in Artificial Intelligence or other equivalent training.
• Experience in a MLOps position deploying complex machine learning models to production, ideally in the areas of computer vision and NLP.
• Experience with MLOps tools (e.g MLFlow, Kubeflow)
• Excellent command of Python
• Experience with container and microservice architectures (e.g. Docker)
