Sartorius Data Analytics, a market leader in advanced analytics and provider of Umetrics Suite of Data Analytics Solutions, is on a strong growth path driving new innovative solutions in the field. There is currently an unique opportunity for a Data Scientist to support the Sartorius sales teams and drive customer applications. In this key role you will have a strong customer focus to help secure innovation and growth. Combining your experience in the Biopharma or Pharma industry with knowledge of applied data science such as MVDA, DOE, MSPC, PAT, QbD, Model Predictive Control (MPC), AI/Machine learning
This position is based in Europe. You will be home based, with regular European travel (about 30%).
What you will accomplish together with us:
- Assisting customers in solving business related problems using advanced data analytics
- Lead/support implementation projects of Umetrics Suite and advanced analytics in industry
- Training customers on the use of Umetrics software suite
- Supporting Sartorius sales teams as subject matter expert in pre and post sales activities related to Data Analytics and Umetrics software suite
- Maintaining contact with customers to secure project momentum and discover additional opportunities
- Generating thought leadership in the interface between industry, data analytics and Bioprocessing, output as case stories, conference presentations, et
- Developing & cultivating strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders
What will convince us:
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (engineering, life sciences, informatics, etc.), master’s degree preferred
- Minimum two years’ work experience within Biopharma or Pharma
- Minimum two years’ working knowledge of applied data science such as MVDA, DOE, MSPC, PAT, QbD, Model Predictive Control (MPC), AI/Machine learning
- Bioprocess knowledge
- Working knowledge of Umetrics Suite of Data Analytics Solutions (MODDE, SIMCA, SIMCA-online, etc.) a plus
- Working knowledge of Python and/or other scripting preferred
- Working knowledge of manufacturing data and development data preferred
- European Language preferred and fluency in English is required
- Teaching, consulting and project management experience a plus
- Excellent communications skills, strong presentation skills preferred
- Comfortable working independently
- Comfortable working from home office, willingness to travel (~30%)
