Data Scientist

What you'll do:

We are looking to hire an experienced Data Scientist to oversee our Data Analytics and create processes, systems, and dashboards that scale. Responsibilities will evolve, and will include the below:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines and platforms, ensuring the efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources.
• Further, you will leverage your experience with SQL and Tableau to improve the overall quality, stability, and reliability of our platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, to understand data requirements and develop data models that facilitate advanced analytics, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval systems to ensure high performance, scalability, and data integrity.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and perform root cause analysis, ensuring timely resolution to minimize impact on data availability and accuracy.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to existing data infrastructure, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Design and deploy modern reports, analytics and visualizations to support Fox Robotics and our customers
• Produce architectural documentation and mentor team on proper development techniques to ensure quality, efficiency and compliance with the team standards
  
  

What you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
• Management Experience
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Architect, Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL processes.
• Proficient in SQL and programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience in implementing data governance practices and ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Expertise in translating logical design into one or more physical databases, and how the data will flow through the successive stages involved

Experience with the following systems and programs is a plus

• Nice to have worked with robotics or an adjacent field
• Experience with Jira / Atlassian tool chain
