The Data Engineer must possess an understanding of large-scale data warehouses using the Microsoft Suite of products. The ideal team member will partner with customers and business owners in creating scalable Azure and SQL Server stack ETL and solutions to accomplish the goals of the team including the vision of DevOps. The Data Warehouse Developer must possess a collaborative attitude, strong oral/written presentation skills, excellent problem-solving skills, and solid analytical/critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform as a key contributor inside the Data Management Team to create scalable ETL solutions which meet the business needs of the organization.
  • Develop data products and solutions with the Microsoft Azure stack and Snowflake.
  • Follow cloud data platform architectural decisions and development standards.
  • Actively contribute towards data migration tasks from on-premises to cloud.
  • Contribute to detailed technical specifications, change, and release documentation for assigned ETL projects.
  • Propagate and practice the DevOps vision in the team.
  • Multi-task across several ongoing projects and daily duties of varying priorities as required.
  • Provide input into each phase of the system development lifecycle as required.
  • Ensure data integrity, performance quality, and resolution of data load failures.
  • Ability to make good judgments, decisions, negotiate and problem solve.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience as ETL/BI developer working with large scale data warehouses required
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or MIS related area required or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft BI stack (SQL Server Database, Integration, Analysis and Reporting Services)
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in building data capabilities in Azure.
  • Hands On experience working with Snowflake.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of data warehouse concepts
  • Experience with performance tuning complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with troubleshooting Production issues.
  • Legacy Data Warehouse migration experience is a BIG plus.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new tools and technologies required.
  • Willingness to work on legacy systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, meet deadlines, demonstrate good time management, and multi-task in a fast-paced project environment
