This is a new opportunity for a Machine Learning Engineer to join a fast-growing start-up with the environmental sector, to be based in Amsterdam. From a technical perspective, the company combines data from images, machine learning models and touches upon credit and finance.
THE COMPANY
We are working with an innovative, growing company within the environmental sector, who is now looking to hire a Machine Learning Engineer to join an existing team of five Data Scientists. Alongside the Data Science team, there are separate teams of Data Engineers, Software Engineers, and Data Analysts.
THE ROLE
Joining the team as a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be tasked with:
- The Development, productionization, monitoring and improvement of Machine Learning models
- Creating data pipelines and infrastructure
- Setting out and following best practices for coding, code review and repository management
- Gathering and cleaning datasets
- Acting as the bridge between the Data Science and Engineering teams
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this role, you will need to:
- This role requires a high standard of commercial experience as a ML Engineer, Data Scientist or similar
- Have experience in building, maintaining, and maintaining productionized and scalable machine learning models in Python
- Be familiar with in SQL and ideally Scala or Java
- Know how to refactor Python codebases
- Be comfortable working with a public cloud, whether that is AWS, Azure or GCP
- Want to communicate with and learn from domain experts
- Speak English fluently
