Join us as our new Biostatistician / Data Scientist in Animal Health and Nutrition

As a Biostatistician/ Data Scientist, you have responsibility for leading data exploration and visualization while promoting and enabling a data-driven culture. The ideal candidate will combine knowledge within animal science, biology, or similar field with data analytics and visualization skills to provide new insight into experimental designs and data-driven decision making. Welcome to Animal Health & Nutrition
We develop and support new exciting products and concepts for the animal health and nutrition industry. Animal Health and Nutrition comprises three departments based in Denmark and US. Our daily work takes place in a dynamic, creative, and international scientific environment, where you will play a role in the development and testing of new sustainable products for Novozymes. The position offers possibilities for international personal development and interactions across disciplines.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

• Designing experiments with production animals
• Capture, connect and analyze complex data sets
• Working with high-level data visualization
• Providing valuable insights based on analytics, visualization, and machine learning models
• Facilitating and driving local improvement initiatives in data & digitization
• Providing appropriate level of technical guidance to colleagues
• Leading role in future IoT projects

To succeed you must hold:

• Master or Ph.D. degree within animal science, biology, data science or similar with emphasis on data management
• Three years+ of experience within data programming languages such as R, SAS, JMP and Python, including multivariate data analysis and functional modeling preferably with strong knowledge of math extensions/libraries.
• Solid experience with production animal data handling and analysis
• Expert knowledge of functionality and use of mathematical data modelling, data collection and transmission, visualization, and statistics
• Experience with ETL and with advanced modeling like ML/AI desired
• Have outstanding networking and communication skills and to be able to work both virtually and in person with cross functional teams across the globe

This job will be located at Novozymes Innovation Campus in Lyngby, Denmark or Arkansas site, US
