Position Overview


If you are an extraordinary problem solver and data engineer, and who loves to push the boundaries to solve complex business problems using creative solutions, then we wish to talk with you. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will work on the Consulting Technology / Media/ Entertainment team, in either San Jose, CA, Austin, TX, or Greater New York area, that helps deliver our Data Engineering offerings at a large scale to our Fortune clients worldwide. The role is responsible for innovating, building, and maintaining technology services.


Position Key Focus Areas


Include but are not limited to collecting, analyzing, and reporting on various internal and external metrics. Develop and implement solutions to gather, process, and present required reports. Ability to work under ambiguous requirements. Be the go to person for internal teams, project management, generate knowledge sharing trends in the team,


Responsibilities


  • Build data pipelines, reports, best practices and frameworks that enable analysts and other stakeholders across the organization.
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in developing pipelines, analytical insights including data integrity, test design, analysis, validation and documentation.
  • Design and develop scalable and actionable solutions (dashboards, automated collateral, web applications) that tell a story and provide insights to help our advertisers grow.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders to understand feature/tooling gaps and innovate on behalf of our customers.


Qualifications


  • Bachelors or equivalent experience in statistics, computer science, engineering, informatics, data science, or related field; additional business degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, data modeling, or using analytics with SQL.
  • Experience partnering or working with stakeholders across organizational boundaries.
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and report simultaneously across different stakeholders.
  • Structured thinking with ability to easily break down ambiguous problems and propose impactful data modeling designs.
  • Passion for analyzing large and complex data sets and converting them into the information which drive business decisions.
  • Attention to detail and effective verbal/written communication skills.


Pay


The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $96,000 - $149,000. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.


Benefits


As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
