About The Role

As a Data Scientist, you will extract insights from large, complex datasets using diverse analysis techniques. You'll use data preparation, modeling, and visualization to solve intricate business problems.

Extracts knowledge and insights from high volume, high dimensional data in order to investigate complex business problems through a range of data preparation, modeling, analysis and/or visualization techniques, which may include statistical analysis, predictive modeling and pattern recognition | Typically uses existing data platforms and tools (ERP/CRM systems, relational or NoSQL databases, data analysis and visualization software) but may also use object-oriented programming to develop own scripts and visualizations.

A Data Scientist II should have a basic understanding of best-practice and can execute the methods for projects with supervision. Individuals in this role will continue to provide support to the Data Scientist team members and also begin to lead some analytic efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Extracting knowledge and insights from high volume, high dimensional data
  • Investigating complex business problems through data preparation, modeling, and analysis
  • Utilizing statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and pattern recognition techniques
  • Using existing data platforms and tools for data analysis and visualization
  • Developing own scripts and visualizations using object-oriented programming
  • Providing support to senior Data Scientists and leading some analytic efforts
  • Pulling data, cleaning data, and maintaining datasets and models
  • Participating in result presentation to internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • Hold at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Have a solid background of relevant work experience or a master's degree in a related field.
  • Be experienced in NLP and classic machine learning frameworks (pandas, scikit, etc)
  • Possess good SQL skills and practical knowledge of XML
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of best practices in data science
  • Be able to execute methods for projects with supervision
  • Have practical experience with ERP/CRM systems, relational or NoSQL databases
  • Be capable of utilizing data analysis and visualization software
