You will join our newly established Data Platform Team which is part of our Data & Analytics department.
A team that works agile and whose main objective is developing the infrastructure which enables the organization to create end-to-end data products and support innovation across many exciting business domains. An international team with many nationalities and locations.
We are an evolving team, where you can, with the right mindset, have a high level of influence on the way we design both processes and solutions.
In this role, you will:
Design, develop and deliver scalable domain-based data products (both centralized and decentralized) based mostly on cloud infrastructure.
Work cross-functionally with other data engineers, developers in build teams, data scientists, and product owners to find solutions that support the business initiatives.
Contribute to the further development and technical implementation of our internal Data Platform to meet increasing demand.
Design modern data architectures inspired by the “Data Mesh” approach.
Contribute to introducing new technologies and ways of working to the team so both platform and team are continually growing and evolving.
Integrate and participate in change management initiatives to support the adoption and continuous development of our platform.
What we will look for:
We imagine that you have a background in a data-related field or in a software engineering role with an emphasis on data movement.
Your curiosity about new technologies and business domains bring you great solutions, and willingness to be a continuous learner and contribute to your own development by finding the best solutions.
Your ability to work on multiple tasks both independently and as part of a team is important skills
You take pride in understanding and communicating with internal stakeholders at all levels and with teams in many offices/regions.
Experience writing SQL queries and knowledge of C# or Python is desirable.
As our platform is based on event streaming and cloud, some prior experience with Kafka and AWS/GCP would be a big bonus.
It is advantageous if you are comfortable with tooling like Docker and Kubernetes.
