Principle responsibilities
- Consult delivery of technical service migration from on-premises R-Studio environment to Google Cloud
- Design technical migration approach with data scientists and cloud engineers
- Design testing approach and lead test management
- Design and certify migration results
- Setup, tuning and testing of migrated R on Google Cloud environment optimizing for data science and analytics use
- Consult data scientists, data analysts, and cloud engineers on technical tools, skills and approach for R to GCP/Python migration
Qualification (preferred)
- Certified R professional
- Certified professional on Google Cloud Platform analytics such as R Studio and Jupyter for Python, Big Query and SQL
Requirements
- Solid experience with R-Studio on-premises environment to R on Google Cloud migration
- Experience with R and Python and integrated development environments like RStudio, as well as notebook interfaces like Jupyter
- Solid knowledge of the respective ecosystems (e.g.,CRAN/Github for R)
- Understand data science with R, both on-premises and Google Cloud
- The ability to work well both independently and as a part of a team
- Strong attention to details, with ability to work independently and under pressure
- Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese; written and spoken
- Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
- Strong technical skills in understanding and deploying enterprise level application systems, and good knowledge of scalable and complex platforms
