Who you are:

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Financial Data Analyst who will mine financial data, develop Power BI reports and effectively communicate their findings and suggest possible solutions. What you’ll do:

As a Financial Data Analyst your key area of responsibility will be monitoring analytics and metrics results and delivering regular monthly reports to the AVP, CFO and the sales organization the FDA team supports. You will be responsible to maintain the data quality of data housed in GBQ tables owned by the FDA team. You will need to work closely with Geotab’s Operations and Sales teams. To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, and have strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve.

How you’ll make an impact:

    • Monitor analytics and metrics results and deliver regular monthly reports to the AVP Financial Analysis, CFO and the sales organization the FDA team supports
    • Provide analysis and develop financial models as required to assess Geotab financial performance
    • Review and validate reseller and customer data as it’s collected into GBQ tables
    • Maintain the data quality of data housed in GBQ tables owned by the FDA team
    • Working with other data teams within Geotab, adhere to and support approved policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data
    • Implement new data analysis methodologies
    • Perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies
    • Partner with teams outside of Finance to understand how their data is managed in order to analyze and present it correctly
    • Support Geotab global strategic initiatives.

What you’ll bring to this role:

    • Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field.
    • SQL, Google Big Query, Google sheets and Python
    • Power BI and data visualization

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Technical competence using software programs, including, but not limited to, Google Suite for business (Sheets, Docs, Slides).
