Responsibilities

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports and insights to laboratory research and development team.
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Interface with laboratory researchers, and using data derived insights, troubleshoot the complex, multidisciplinary problems
  • Develop and implement algorithms to optimize signal acquisition and analysis.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or higher, Associates with extensive relevant experience
  • Strong communication and personal skills; able to discuss findings clearly and effectively parse requests for specific analysis.
  • Technical expertise in data mining and analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (R/S, Python, SPSS, SAS, Matlab, etc)
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, and accurately present results with attention to detail
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • BS in Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
  • Experience in bioinformatics, algorithm development and/or image analysis is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with databases (SQL etc.) is a plus
