The Role:

We are looking for Data Engineering Team Lead who will lead a team of data engineers working alongside Developers, Designers and Product Owners, who will own their work from the initial idea to the final implementation.

We are continually gathering information on travel related events and are looking for someone to help us make the most of a large-scale distributed data system. The role will allow for opportunities to work in a variety of areas such as digital, logistics, predictive maintenance, and anything else that you may think of, or that will come your way.


The Person:

  • Presents an evidence of data processing at scale
  • Has several years of experience in data engineering field
  • Familiar with cloud computing concepts with hands-on experience in at least AWS (S3, EMR, Lambda, ECS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch)
  • Has solid experience in SQL and (Java or Scala) programming
  • Has experience with Streaming applications
  • Follows developers best practices

Requirements

  • Designing, developing and maintaining data processing jobs in cloud and on premise
  • Leading the team of data engineers, help on-board new joiners.
  • Keep track of the team capability to efficiently deliver data intensive applications, suggest trainings, share knowledge, inspire colleagues
  • Be able to design fault tolerant solutions
  • Continuously work on improving process monitoring
  • Support data scientists and analysts in deploying their solutions
  • Make data available and reusable within the organization
