Responsibilities
- Candidate successfully designs, develops, and programs methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze data sources in order to generate actionable insights and solutions for DoD and Federal clients
- Candidate builds predictive models and uses data mining, text mining, SAS programming, and large-scale data management to compete tasks. Successfully analyzes quality improvement data using NCQA Health Plan Employee Data and Information Set (HEDIS) and AHRQ-QI measures
- Works to develop and deploy clinical performance metrics using BASE SAS or similar systems
- Interacts with government clients and team to identify requirements for data analysis, experiments, and solutions
- Identifies meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources; interprets and communicates insights and findings from analysis to government clients and internal team
- Analyzes qualitative and quantitative clinical and defense health business data and provides stakeholders with data quality reports, dashboards, program data, and information to inform continuous improvement and reduce redundancy
- Provides solutions to research and evaluation requirements at the program level, assisting projects with data manipulation and usage across platforms and systems
Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Services Research, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Statistics, Nursing Informatics - OR - previous participation in the Oakridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) program as a fellow is required
- Individual must have five (5) years or more of experience, or previous experience as an ORISE fellow, in the following areas:
- Analyzing quality improvement data using NCQA Health Plan Employee Data and Information Set (HEDIS) and AHRQ-QI measures.
- Developing and deploying clinical performance metrics using BASE SAS or similar systems
- Must also possess three (3) years or more experience:
- Working in healthcare or MHS data, utilizing Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) to access database management systems, utilizing Microsoft Management Studio SQL Server
- Microsoft Visual SQL Server Integration Services
- SAS BI or other similar Business Analytics Software package, conducting statistical analysis, developing analytical plans, and writing reports, applying multivariate regression methods, utilizing SQL, R, or Python Programming Languages, and building predictive models
- Experience with data mining, text mining, SAS programming, and large-scale data management
- Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance
