The Role and the Team

Combining your knowledge of Data Pipelines, Data Warehousing and Presentation/Visualization, this Data Engineer/Analyst position is focused on providing access and visibility into Proofpoint’s data. Across our products and services, your work will help understand the business, operational, usage and behavioral data that will be used to analyze and inform our corporate processes, knowledge, and products.
Job Requirements

Collaborate with teams throughout the company to plan, design, develop and deploy data ingestion and consumption mechanisms

Provide your expertise in understanding how data can be consumed across services

Create Enterprise-class reports and visualizations into the data

Enable new AI/ML usage models to visualize what can be presented from the Data Lake
What you bring to the team

Expertise with SQL and Relational Database models and data modeling concepts (Data Cubes, Star/Snowflake schemas, Time-series, etc.)

Expertise with one or more Data Visualization toolsets (Power BI, Tableau)

Demonstrated experience in creating Enterprise-class reports

Demonstrated ability to create linkages between both structured and unstructured data in a Data Lake

Experience with ML/AI scripting and tooling (Python numpy, Redshift ML)

Familiarity with Salesforce a plus

2+ years of hands-on experience in Business Intelligence/Data Analyst efforts

Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
