The opportunity:

OpenText is the market leader in Enterprise Information Management platforms and applications. The division is seeking an experienced Data Scientist who shares our passion for developing and maintaining products related to search capabilities for both cloud and on-premises deployments.

You are great at:

• Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis
• Collaborate with product management and engineering team to understand requirements and devise possible solutions
• Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports and customer escalations

What it takes:

• BS or MS in CS or a related technical field and 3+ years of related experience
• Working knowledge of data processing, database programming and data analytics
• Working knowledge of data mining and statistical analysis
• Strong skills in understanding various data structures and common methods in data transformation
• Strong skills in pattern recognition and predictive modeling
• Experience with graph database, such as Neo4j or Virtuoso
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Experience with Apache Solr
• Experience with programming languages, such as Java or Python
• Experience with Jira
• Experience with AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform
