The Opportunity

As part of our goal is to become the most digital customer centric leader, we would like to continuously evolve and improve the digital data engineering strategy and execution. To support this mission we are hiring a data engineer who can focus on the data strategy for the digital applications.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for architecture, design, development and implementation of data engineering for digital applications
  • Build and roll out complex digital applications such as our Customer's portal and ePOS systems
  • Ensure the Data Engineering and delivery for this is well thought out and executed with minimal disruption to the applications teams while in development and testing
  • Ensure the right model, Governance and quality us in place for the same
  • Ensure these products have high reliability in production and deliver the experience the customers expect
  • Execute Data Discovery and obtain impactful results from the usage of Digital Platforms, Reporting & Analytics

What/who We Are Looking For
  • Graduate of Bachelor of Engineering in IT, CS or related course
  • Demonstrated experience leading the complexities of data and systems integration across a variety of platforms and vendors
  • Extensive knowledge with many of the following technical environments / languages: NIFI, SQL, Oracle RDBMS, KAFKA, Hadoop, Hive, HBASE, HDFS, MSAzure, DataBricks
  • Familiarity with some of: Python, Spark, PowerBI, Confluence, JIRA, Splunk, Kibana
  • Programming knowledge in software development of large-scale applications
  • Preferably with experience in Financial Industry
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and strong work ethic.
  • Develop with test-driven development (TDD), CI/CD fundamentals and iterative development.
  • Passionate about building innovative solutions for customers.
  • Have lead, at least 2 full projects as senior data engineer
  • Familiarity with agile and DevOps principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other Software Engineering best practices to accelerate the delivery and quality of new features
  • Ability to debug issues quickly and ensure issue do not recur in production
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through the creative process
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and a strong ability to recognize critical path deliverables in order to deliver within project timelines
  • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively articulate and communicate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes
