Job Description
The Data Analyst/ Senior Data Analyst is focused on data analytics and reporting, using data science methods to solve problems.
The Data Analyst will help with skills intelligence data science team deliver reports and internal and external reports to customers and other stakeholders.
You would help build out data analytics systems of matching, recommendations, and classifications.
You would work and communicate well with other employees, help innovate, and help in solving complicated technical problems.
We are looking for strong data analytics, visualization, and exploration skills. Along with technical skills, effective communication skills are required.
Responsibilities Include
Designing and documenting scripting for existing and new data sources (data mining).
Identifying new external data sources and creating data extraction scripts from these sources.
Collaborating with other team members to assist in delivering technical reports in an efficient way.
Continually striving for automation. Having experience with scripting in Python or similar will be very helpful.
Developing and testing statistical metrics and encouraging the use of rigor across projects.
Data visualization, gathering, querying, and analysis. The use of SQL will be common for some of these tasks.
Leveraging critical and statistical thinking and problem-solving strategies to guide the design and implementation of data science tools and advanced analytic solutions.
Creating actionable recommendations to leadership/customers through data-driven analysis and visualization.
Maintaining high delivery and standards bar and reward excellence. Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience in an analytic position producing statistical reports, preferably with HR / people data.
Experience with statistical analysis methodologies such as regression and classification.
Experience with data visualizations: when to use (and not use) various charts and visualizations.
Used to communicating and summarizing technical results to a non-technical audience.
Outcomes-driven, smart, hard-working, and a great team player.
Creative and apply your vision to problem solving.
Multiple years experience working in analytics and building reports.
Experience working with technical and statistical problems and communicating the results to a non-technical audience.
Strong organizational judgment and problem-solving.
Developed collaborative interpersonal communication skills, including verbal, written and listening communications.
