Contract extensions: 1 x 12 months

Rates: $110 - $150 per hour (inc. super)

AUSTRAC is seeking a Technical Team Lead with full stack experience to work in the Reporting Entity System Transformation (REST) Program.

The Technical Team Lead Will Have The Following Responsibilities

• Develop and code successful programs in full stack Java implementations using message bus implementations;
• Collaborate with business subject matter experts and various Engineering and Technology teams to collect requirements and define, design, develop, test, and support applications;
• Develop and implement software development experience with message buses, especially Kafka;
• Support end-to-end functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) of applications;
• Provide strategic thinking, solutions and roadmaps while driving enterprise recommendations ensuring adherence to standards and establish standards where they may not yet exist;
• Develop business processes;
• Develop systems that are built for change, are reusable, and maintainable; and
• Work on software development projects.
  

The Technical Team Lead will have the following key attributes:

• Demonstrated success in full stack Java implementations using message bus implementations;
• Ability to collaborate with business subject matter experts and various Engineering and Technology teams to collect requirements and define, design, develop, test, and support applications;
• Strong understanding and knowledge of development concepts and implementation experience with message buses, especially Kafka;
• Ability to support end-to-end functional testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) experience of applications;
• Ability to provide strategic thinking, solutions and roadmaps while driving enterprise recommendations while ensuring adherence to standards and establish standards where they may not yet exist;
• Demonstrated understanding of both the business process(es) and the technical application of the Framework(s) with which they're involved;
• Ability to ensure that systems are built for change, are reusable, and maintainable; and
• 5+ years of experience working on software development projects.
