Position overview

The Global Data Insight and Analytics (GDIA) team supports core areas of the business by using sophisticated methods of data management, data analysis, data mining, statistics, AI/ML and other analytical methods to create processes, strategies and planning principles.

We’re looking for experienced Senior Data Scientists to join our European team in an exciting interdisciplinary and internationally orientated role. As Senior Data Scientist, Customer Analytics you will prepare data and gain new knowledge from it in order to find innovative solutions for new challenges for our business areas.

Responsibilities

• You will analyse customer behaviour, marketing activities, mobility and sustainability preferences, quality and guarantee data, and examine and optimise business processes in the marketing and sales area.
• You will develop econometric models and use your analyses to provide the basis for planning, e.g. for marketing campaigns and pricing.
• You will support long-term corporate planning with forecasting and scenario analysis.

Essential requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or similar experience in a quantitative domain.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: mathematical modelling and optimisation, object-oriented programming, time series analysis, operations research, statistical methods.
• Experience with at least one of the following topics: data visualization, statistical analysis, data mining, data protection, AI/ML.
• Experience of marketing and marketing research.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate complex solutions.

Desirable but not essential

• Masters or PhD in Science or similar subject
