As a Data Scientist you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering the development, management and coordination of enhanced surveillance systems of vaccine preventable diseases, with particular emphasis on vaccine coverage surveillance systems, in order to monitor the national vaccination programme.
The postholder will be to maintain and develop enhanced surveillance systems for vaccine coverage, working closely with a wide variety of professionals from both within and outside PHE to ensure high quality data. Oversee the co-ordination of requests for data associated with the COVID-19 vaccination programme, the production of regular and ad hoc outputs from these systems for inclusion in routine national and international reports and information requests from government, liaising with stakeholders within the organisation and outside to lead on the mandatory data reporting, quality assurance and standards processes. The postholder will have strong data management skills, ideally with experience in immunisation data.
