What we are looking for

We are hiring for Data Analyst that is passionate about data and has a track record of bringing course-changing insights to clients to enable delivery of data solutions. Within this , you will work closely with clients to identify and translate data and reporting requirements, map end-to-end data flows; ultimately enabling delivery of data solutions.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Agree and document business requirements in high quality user stories
• Facilitate multi-functional team to agree on necessary requirements and design decisions and prioritisation of implementation
• Perform SQL analysis of available data in the enterprise data warehouse to determine appropriate data sources and quality
• Prepare and conduct quality assurance of required supporting artefacts, including; Business and Data requirement Documents, Functional Data Requirements, Interface Specifications and Change Request documentation
• Lead hand-over of requirements to delivery teams (dev & Test) and requirements clarifications throughout delivery lifecycle
• Assist with defect root cause analysis and defect resolution where required

Background & Experience

• 3-5 years’ experience working as a data analyst, focused on functional requirements gathering and data flow mapping
• Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and framework
• Experience defining requirements for an enterprise data warehouse delivery
• Strong knowledge of data modelling and mapping and database technologies including querying and scripting in PLSQL/SQL
• Knowledgeable of Teradata and Tableau, a distinct advantage
• Ability to coordinate digital workshops
• Strong client-engagement skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audience
• Background in Financial Services is preferable with an understanding of Markets and Treasury type products, Corporate Banking products or Retail products, a disticnt advantage
• A solid understanding of credit risk processes and reporting, a distinct advantage
