Your Responsibilities

• You are part of a team at CHECK24 that drives the implementation of new technologies and features in the field of data science and machine learning across the company
• You take the technical lead of projects and lead the junior team members
• Independent design and development of machine learning models for process automation/optimization or new product features for CHECK24
• Implementation of developed algorithms and models in cooperation with the CHECK24 product areas (including product management, IT, management) for production mode (e.g. using cloud technologies)
• You identify new approaches and technologies to optimize our websites and processes
• You help expanding our high-quality codebase and improve our best practices to further increase our velocity for upcoming projects

Your Qualifications

• Very good master’s degree or PhD in machine learning, computer linguistics, computer science or related fields
• At least 2-3 years of professional experience building machine learning services and solid know-how of modern machine-learning techniques
• Enthusiasm for developing and practically implementing machine learning models in a production environment
• Distinguished experience with Python and confident handling of relational databases (SQL, cloud DWH techniques)
• Extensive experience regarding machine learning and possibly deep learning packages (e.g. scikit-learn, Tensorflow, Keras, Razor)
• Experience with rolling out machine learning models in production mode
• Experience with Big Data and streaming technologies is a plus (e.g. Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Creativity, drive and the ability to master complex technical problems
