What You’ll Get to Do
As a CACI-Wexford Data Scientist, you will support the DoD National Security
Innovation Network (NSIN) mission to bring together defense, academia, and
industry to solve some of the most challenging and complex national security
problems. You will provide large-scale advanced analytics support; collecting,
parsing, transforming, and integrating relevant data in support of projects; and
providing operational, systems, and data analysis to support NSIN in its mission to
provide tailored technology integrated services for its mission partners for the
purpose of countering and deterring current and emerging global threats.
More About the Role
As a CACI-Wexford Data Scientist, you will embed with NSIN and its mission partners and tenant organizations, sometimes potentially in hostile, austere locations, providing expert technical data science expertise that enables the effective integration of a variety of data and intelligence information with innovative technology into seamless solutions that help shape both current and future DoD mission requirements.
You will collaborate across the DoD, commercial industry, and academic space to identify and develop technology and capability enhancements that are informed by close collaboration and coordination with the labs, universities, agencies, and industry partners who are on the cutting edge of research and Development.
You will embed with and support units and organizations at all echelons, and work with communities of interest as they deal directly with a wide variety of emerging threats and conduct operations to mitigate those threats. You will apply your expertise to provide large-scale advanced analytics support; collecting, parsing, transforming, and integrating relevant data in support of a variety of projects; and provide operational, systems, and data analysis that supports strategic and operational requests to assist decision makers with risk assessments, prioritization, and/or to provide leadership with quantitative organizational assessments to support functional evaluations. You will develop, document, implement, and automate ETL (extract transform load) processes using SQL® and other analytical programming tools that most efficiently import structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from new and/or dynamic data sources, ensuring data validity, reliability, and availability to users. You will collaborate with team members to ensure retrieval of available information pertinent to current work projects and ensure timely dissemination of counter asymmetric threat products.
You will collaborate and coordinate on efforts to improve support for analytic projects, threat identification, and threat characterization by providing highly specialized data science expertise to DoD, NSIN and its mission partners that helps identify new data sources, methods and capabilities that will improve access to information and integrate mission expertise and innovative technologies and capabilities that will drive process improvements and efficiencies, ultimately improving operational effectiveness and reducing threat levels for the DoD, NSIN and its mission partners.
