Key Responsibilities
Utilize Python and SQL for insightful data analytics, addressing specific client business needs.
Engage closely with our data scientists to conduct exploratory data analysis and data transformations using Python and SQL.
Develop and orchestrate processes to extract, transform, and store data from diverse sources, including SQL databases, S3 buckets, APIs, and BI tools.
Provide support to BI specialists through the implementation of robust backend data solutions.
Collaborate with clients to discern requirements, strategize delivery plans, and deliver compelling results.
Experience
Qualifications and Skills
A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience as a skilled data analyst.
Education
A Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Required Skills
Profound proficiency in SQL.
Significant hands-on experience with Python, including data manipulation (pandas), data visualization (matplotlib), and data connections (APIs, SQL connectors, etc.).
Exceptional communication skills.
Adept at both independent problem-solving for customer needs and collaborative teamwork to address those needs.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with BI tools, particularly Qlik.
Exposure to big data platforms, data warehousing, and cloud technologies such as Snowflake, Redshift, and Cloudera.
Interest in delving into data science and machine learning (willingness to learn more is a definite advantage).
Prior experience in consulting or within a major industry.
Proven ability to liaise with clients/stakeholders and manage projects effectively.
Familiarity with shell/command-line tools.
Location and Travel
This position offers the flexibility of remote work, and once non-pandemic conditions allow, there might be occasional travel to client sites, primarily within the NY/NJ/PA region.
