Our growing company is seeking a Data Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure. You will work closely with our data analysts and data architect to ensure that our data is clean, accurate, and accessible. This is a hybrid opportunity reporting to our Toronto Support Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to augment your current skills, as well as learn new technologies.
In this role, you will
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines
- Work with data analysts and data architect to ensure that data is clean, accurate, and accessible
- Build and maintain data warehouses, data lakes, and other data storage solutions
- Develop and maintain ETL data migration processes; ETL, Messaging Queues, etc.
- Implement data security and privacy measures
- Collaborate with other engineers, data architect, ETL developers, and stakeholders to ensure that our data infrastructure meets business needs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data engineering and recommend new tools and techniques to improve our data infrastructure
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and ETL processes
- Experience with cloud-based data storage solutions such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and data modeling
- Knowledge of data security and privacy best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Willingness to learn new tools and technologies
