Job Description
The Diversity and Inclusion Data Analyst (DIDA) will directly support the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) department activities by providing in-depth data analysis specifically to improve health equity, quality, safety and efficiency of care delivered throughout the Kaleida Health system. This position will have data management, analysis and reporting responsibilities within the department with the goal of delivering timely, efficient and effective reports to various departments that drive quality improvement activities with a DEI lens. This position will use various sources of internal and external databases (including but not limited to, US Census, Healthelink, Premier, Crimson, Press Ganey, Treo, Cerner, Magellan, and others) that will be used to pull data, perform analysis and subsequently provide meaningful information to the management team to drive decisions that will improve health equity and high value quality care. This position will work closely with and collaborate with quality directors, clinical informatics, decision support, IS&T, finance and department managers to enhance the reporting capabilities that drive quality improvement.
They will be responsible for coordinating, developing and delivering effective diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies and best practices across the health system. They will be an expert in health equity, data analytics, and working within a healthcare system on health equity projects that improve outcomes, reduce disparities, reduce unconscious bias, and promote cultural humility. The Diversity and Inclusion Data Analyst reports directly to the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer (CDIO)
Minimum or Preferred Qualifications
BS - Bachelor of Science in business, healthcare administration, behavioral science, social services, human resources required. MA - Masters in business, healthcare administration, behavioral science, social services, human resources preferred. 3 years of data analysis experience required. 2 years of experience in data support with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives or programs in healthcare, education, or human service organization preferred. ACS NSQIP. CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) and/or Six Sigma experience preferred.
