Hours
8-hour Day shift; Weekends as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
College degree
Background in development and maintenance of spreadsheets and dashboards, including the display of data to best uncover business insights
Ability to deal with statistical programs (e.g. SQL or SAS) and extraction of data from various systems
Working knowledge of hospital, physician, or health care operations, including procedure, diagnostic, and revenue coding systems (e.g. DRG, CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10) and medical terminology
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, including the ability to translate technical data topics for less technical audiences
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Degree in data analytics, statistics, health, business, or a related field
Previous experience in a managed care setting

Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Strategy and Transformation, this position provides Sharp Health Plan with reporting and analysis that enables data-driven decision making.Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing large amounts of data to discover patterns or relationships related to strategic clinical programs and improvements. The Analyst is responsible for organizing and maintaining dashboards used to track program performance, including utilization, cost, and quality, and producing supplemental reporting to analyze root case. The Analyst compiles, analyzes, and prepares information for presentation to a cross-functional audience, including executive leadership.
