We are looking for a data engineer that can establish the data warehouse infrastructure and streamline the processes by which data is gathered and analyzed at the company. This role will work directly with our CTO and other high-level stakeholders to optimize data analysis delivery. The type of data ranges from financial metrics for investors, product usage statistics, to marketing and advertising spend (ROAS) by channel. We need a quick-learner, a detail-oriented leader passionate about data collection and analysis. This job reports directly to the CTO. Responsibilities: Build from the ground up the data pipeline infrastructure that will be used by our data and financial analysts for years to come. Evaluate and communicate operational cost-benefit tradeoffs of any and all architectural decisions. Create the frameworks that improve the efficacy of logging and analysis, while working with multiple departments to triage and resolve issues. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and financial analysts to understand the data needs, and how to properly represent key data insights visually in a meaningful way. Communicate best practices and establish processes for considering data security, as well as PII compliance. Work with the team to address data quality issues. Provide insight into sophisticated data model structure that can support multiple use cases and scale with the company over time. Develop, communicate, and align the interdepartmental language used to identify key metrics for the highest-level individuals at the company. Solve our most challenging data integration problems, utilizing optimal ETL patterns, frameworks, query techniques, sourcing from structured and unstructured data sources. Influence product and cross-functional teams to identify data opportunities to drive impact.

Requisitos
5+ years experience in the data warehouse space (PostgreSQL, StitchData & Google BigQuery required). 5+ years experience in custom ETL design, implementation, and maintenance. 5+ years experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling. 5+ years experience in writing SQL statements. 3+ years experience with object-oriented programming languages. 3+ years of experience using data visualization tools. Experience analyzing data to identify gaps and inconsistencies. Experience managing and communicating data warehouse plans to internal stakeholders. Solid verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively to technical audience as well as non-technical audience Understanding of modern software frameworks, such as MVC. Familiarity with Ruby on Rails is a plus.
