Our team in Reading provide front-end studies, engineering, procurement and project management services for initiating and executing oil and gas field, HVDC, renewable energy and carbon capture developments.

We are currently looking for a Data Engineer to strengthen the team and support our current and future projects.

What will you be doing?

The Data Engineer assists the DQM (Data Quality Management) Lead in all aspects of data quality management, including:

  • Running application consistency reports and management DQM status reports
  • Follow up the consistency reporting with disciplines (present, agree mitigations)
  • Suggest and if appropriate implement improvements to DQM / consistency reports
  • Produce weekly DQM report for the disciplines
  • Establish routines with the disciplines for following up DQM errors reported
  • Assist with index handling to and from Vendors, EPC’s, Equinor
  • Maintain a close relation to project discipline engineers to assist in timely and correct delivery of DQM services.
  • Assist the discipline engineers in closing out data quality issues
  • Understanding and trouble-shooting data flows between main data systems

We think you should have:

  • Excellent communication skills (English mandatory) both verbally and written
  • Present reports and statistics in a straight-forward and easily understandable way
  • The ability to build relationships and coordinate across multiple parties and disciplines
  • Experience in analyzing business processes
  • Understanding of the value of Lifecycle Information and its importance at different stages of a project
  • Experience with data flows, master data management and data integration between systems
  • Mandatory – Competent user of SQL for database queries and reporting
  • Mandatory – experience with integrating data
  • Preferred – Experience in Power BI or similar report building
  • Preferred – Experience with Comos, E3D
