Working with us, you will have an outstanding impact across HP and our Supply Chain.

You will leverage your skills to avoid scenarios of stock-outs and excessive inventory and ensure that supply is allocated where and when it will maximize returns.

To do so, you will work on designing and deploying highly advanced Machine Learning solutions to forecast future demand at scale, optimize the allocation of inventory and automate the management of the inventory for thousands of products and hundreds of countries.

You will be part of our Order To Cash organization within our Center of Excellence team and you will shape HP’s future of how to solve concrete business problems with the use of data science. We are a very dynamic, highly skilled, and a diverse global team consisting of supply chain experts, computer scientists and engineers, who are pushing the innovation frontier in the way we bring insights to our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Build high-quality Data Science solutions to optimize our Supply Chain and product inventory using tools like Python.

  • Collect requirements from business teams to design and build relevant analytic solutions which will address pain points and drive change in the entire organization.

  • Utilize highly advanced analytical tools and techniques for analysing data and building statistical models and solutions for the most complex challenges: demand forecasting, capacity allocation and inventory optimization.

  • Improve upon existing analytical pipelines by developing new data signals, researching new algorithms, fine-tuning models, testing, and deploying proposed enhancements to bring excellence to the organization

Who you are ?

Education and Experience Required:

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

  • 4+ years’ experience with data querying language (SQL, Hadoop) and statistical/mathematical software such as Python and/or R

  • Demonstrable track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.

  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills; mastery in English and local language.

  • Ability to work on a team and collaborate across business units.

  • Developing business acumen, including understanding of HP's overall business model.
