Data Engineer

• Description:* Function as project engineering resource for assembly shop. Will identify equipment problems and bottlenecks through the analysis of manufacturing data.
  
  

Make data useable for meetings and process improvement. Data Acquisition

• Work with the shop members to identify required data to support their problem-solving needs and the shop’s key performance indicators.
• Facilitate the creation and identification of data and data sources.
• Establish required connections between systems and data sources to perform automated data collection.
• Ingest useful data into the Assembly shop’s data collection systems.
• Work with members of other groups to find and gain access to required data.
  
  

Data Cleaning

• Inspect data and perform functions to convert data into required format, type, and structure.
• Verify data and collection methods are free of errors.
• Verify data against other sources to ensure accuracy. Data Analysis
• Inspect data and verify integrity, and validity.
• Analyze information to discover trends and patterns. Model Building
• Construct predictive models and algorithms.
• Evaluate data and models to ensure they meet business objectives. Data Visualization and Reporting
• Present data using various visualization systems and techniques
• Create and publish reports using various software.

Degree- Computer, Mechanical or Industrial Minimum

1 year working with data

Strong Math skills Proficient in MS Office Knowledge in SQL, Oracle, Postgres Strong attention to detail, problem solving and communication skills Experience with programming (Visual Basic, C++, Java, Python, ASP.net, etc.) Experience with Business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers is preferred Experience with OPC systems (kepware, wonderware, etc.) is preferred
