Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Analyst with our client in the financial industry located in Richmond, VA. This is a 4 month + contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Reverse engineering code to identify metric definition and interdependencies within our data ecosystem
• Documenting technical details in a business digestible format
• Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements
• Build well-managed data solutions, tools, and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for data consumers
• Partner with the business to provide consultancy and translate the business needs to design and develop tools, techniques, metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization
• Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing reporting solutions
• Demonstrate ability to explore and quickly grasp new technologies to progress varied initiatives
• Drive an understanding and adherence to the principles of data quality management including metadata, lineage, and business definitions
  
  

Requirements:

• Scripting experience in (SQL and Python)
• Hands on experience with Tableau
• Strong desire and experience with data in various forms (S3, OneLake, Redshift, Snowflake)
• Experience utilizing and developing within Cloud services (AWS, Databricks)
• Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way
• Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds
