We are looking for a top-notch technology savvy specialists willing to move our projects on the new track! You will use the most advanced technology stack and have an opportunity to implement new solutions while working with top leaders in their industries. As a part of our global team you will participate in international projects mostly based and implemented on major three cloud providers (Azure, GCP, AWS).
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Big Data Engineer you are responsible for building software that enables our clients and business partners to make efficient decisions with ease. You are able to design robust solutions on state-of-the-art compute engines such as:
- Hadoop Ecosystem (e.g. HDFS, HBase, Hive, Impala)
- Spark, DataBricks
- Hadoop distribution systems [Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR]
- Data Integration using [NiFi, Sqoop]
- Workflow scheduling using [AirFlow, Oozie]
Skills And Attributes For Success
Solving complex business problems on a large scale. Participating in cross-functional initiatives and collaborating across various domains. Interacting with engineers, product/project managers, and partners from all over the world.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- 6+ years of commercial experience in Big Data
- Strong understanding & familiarity with Hadoop Ecosystem
- Proficiency in Spark and [Python, Scala]
- Knowledge of Big Data architecture patterns
- Experience in Data Integration
- Experience in Workflow scheduling
- Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution excellent inter-personal skills
- Very good English (verbal and written)
- Experience in using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Experience in Cloud Azure/AWS/GCP
- Knowledge of data modelling and concepts like Data Lake, Data Virtualization, Data Mart, Data Warehouse (e.g. dimensions modelling)
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience in BI tools like Power BI, SAP BO, Qlikview, QlikSense, Tableau or other
- German is nice to have
- Understanding of the importance of governance and security rules when handling data
- Understanding of data management concepts
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps principals
- Experience in Stream processing using [Spark Streaming, Kafka, Flink, Storm]
