Environmental Data Analyst

Job Responsibilities:

Utility Bill Database Set-up

• Set up sites and utility accounts in Utility Bill Database
• Collect utility bills from approximately 484 JCI sites in the EMEA region the most recent 24 months historically
• Upload bill images to Utility Bill Database
• Validate bill uploads for accuracy

Utility Bill Database Ongoing Maintenance

• Responsible for ongoing collection and analysis of monthly electricity, waste/recycling, water/sewer and natural gas/oil usage data with commentary on actual usage versus expected usage, coordinate with appropriate stakeholders to explain meaningful variances.
• Receive and upload utility bills to Utility Bill Database monthly
• Review data uploads for accuracy
• Variance reporting to identify anomalies
• Follow compliance reporting practices for validating data

Emissions Reporting

• Assist in the annual disclosure process, including timely and accurate initial preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual GHG inventory, catalogues supporting data for audit, and solicits commentary as necessary.
• Review consumption data and validate energy, cost, or carbon savings resulting from operational programs which curtail energy consumption.
• Monitor and track carbon and water use

Energy Procurement

• Create database of existing energy supply contracts
• Capture pertinent data for existing energy supply contracts

• Review energy supply bills for billing accuracy to contract terms and conditions
• Update supply contract data for new supply contracts
• Communicate upcoming contract end dates to Global Energy Manager

Requirements:

• Business fluent in multiple European languages
• Good communication skills
• Familiar working with utility cost and consumption data
• Able to compare monthly consumption/cost data YOY to identify variances
• Familiarity with spreadsheets and online utility databases
