We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Data Scientist to join our team. This is an exciting role! You will be primarily responsible for driving data science focused projects and will redefine ambiguous business problems into clear, concrete insights as well as productionalizing insights. Our ideal candidate is adept at understanding the business needs that are often quantitatively ambiguous and using large complex data sets to find opportunities for product optimization.
What you'll do
- Analyzing complex datasets, applying statistical methods as necessary (e.g., time series forecasting, classification, linear/logistic regression).
- Designing and deploying data-science and technology-based algorithmic solutions to address business needs.
- Collaborating effectively with internal collaborators, understanding their needs and being able to communicate data-driven recommendations.
This role requires
- 5+ years proven experience as a Data Scientist, or in a similar role.
- PhD or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field. (PhD preferred)
- Strong understanding and application of advanced statistical techniques and concepts, including but not limited to machine learning algorithms, classification, regression, and time series analysis.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools and languages ( Python, R, SQL) and with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving abilities, intuition for business, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal direction.
- Shown ability in handling and delivering on multiple, contending priorities.
- Prior experience with managing collaborators and ability to present complex data in a clear manner to non-technical audience.
Bonus points if you have
- Proven track record to translate business needs into data science / analytical initiatives.
- Experience in Observability is a plus

Estimated Base Pay Range: $ 126,000 - $ 158,000
The pay range above represents a reasonable estimate of the salary for the listed position. This role is eligible for a corporate bonus plan and a competitive equity package. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related factors such as an applicant’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
