We are seeking a Data Scientist to help extract big value out of big data! Our data lake is up and running (you won't be asked to create one from scratch!). You'll be supporting Veracode's Customer Success and Operations team, directly helping to make the world a more secure place by leveraging the power of data.
This individual will be responsible for helping customer-facing teams drive the right outcomes for our customers. The ideal candidate will have some data science experience and a track record of delivering high quality work on time. She/he will bring a consultative approach, an ability to work cross functionally, and strong problem solving skills. Tasks that this role will perform include:
- Building models in Python and SQL to understand the behaviors of Veracode's SaaS users
- Analyzing complex business problems and making recommendations for improvement
- Designing, building, and maintaining predictive tools and reports
- Developing and recommending technical solutions and strategies for internal business systems and infrastructure as well as Veracode platform analytics tools
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage and improve our data science platform consisting of a feature store, data pipelines, model serving API, and monitoring (Python, SQL, Terraform, AWS)
- Lead initiatives to continuously improve measurement of customer health
- Partner with Customer Success Managers and Engineers to create plays for successful customer outcomes
- Support internal teams by performing advanced analysis used in customer engagements
- Collaborate with VPs, Directors, and Managers across Product Management, Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success
- Work across functions to help define product and solution requirements
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or global equivalents with 5+ years related experience
- Strong SQL skills, including writing complex queries to extract and analyze large volumes of data
- Comfortable with Python, R, or another scripting language
- Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure is a plus
- Ability to communicate at leadership and executive levels
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen including developing knowledge of multiple functions, roles, and customer needs
- Working knowledge of BI tools is helpful but not required (Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
