This position will be the main point of contact for the business reporting needs for our marketing department, helping to prioritize and deliver reports and analysis to support this critical organization. To be successful in this role, we are seeking a highly motivated person that adapts well to change and can easily navigate multiple priorities in a matrixed organization. This role will have a huge impact on data availability through turning data into insight that will help drive business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and automate reports, solving for the Business Intelligence (BI) and analytical needs of our full range of stakeholders. Work with stakeholders to establish the right metrics for monitoring the business.
- Interpret business data and analyze results to provide ongoing reports.
- Provide analytical and data-driven decision-making support for key projects.
- Gather functional requirements and work with engineering to help deliver data driven solutions to stakeholders.
- Communicate findings on a regular basis to all levels of business and management.
- Help train internal and external stakeholders on utilizing reporting tools and analyzing results.
- Set standards for data management and conceive projects needed to eliminate the gap between current state and future goals.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or other technical field. Advanced degrees preferred.
- Experience in SQL and familiarity with other programming languages.
- Previous experience in a technical or business position (Internship/Co-Op included) preferred.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (MicroStrategy, Tableau, Qlik, BOBJ, Cognos)
- Demonstrated success when working cross-functionally and can translate technical content to a general audience.
- Understanding of Data Management and the data lifecycle.
- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- An interest in technology
- Willingness to learn new skills and tools and flexibility to accept a wide range of responsibilities in our innovative and entrepreneurial environment.
- Highly motivated, self-starter that can operate under minimal supervision. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
