The Role
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will help maintain and make constant improvements to the company's cloud data platform in AWS. You will use the best Data Engineering practices to help continuously expand the platform as the company rapidly grows. Other responsibilities include:
- You will write and test scalable code using Python that meets the requirements to be used in the AWS platform
- You will build a new AWS platform from the ground up using infrastructure tools like Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes and Python.
- With the help of Data Scientists, you will help build Data Warehouses and ETL processes to help perform Machine Learning capabilities
- You will collaborate with multiple departments in the company like the sales and marketing departments and will help maintain data architectures using software like Hive and Spark
- Experience using automation tools like Airflow
- System Design experience in an AWS environment
- Data engineering background with prior experience in hands-on roles, building data platforms
- Strong Python, SQL and Scala Experience
