Senior Data Engineer / Scientist (m/f/d)

What to expect:

• You are supporting the exploration of new data solutions together with our business partners
• You are proposing new solutions and have ideas how to optimize the existing ones
• You are supporting selected use cases end-to-end, i.e. from setting the project environment, building the data pipelines to supporting the model training
• Jointly with other experts you evaluate the optimal tech stack for the problem
• You are actively supporting the technical upskilling in the team e.g. by providing direct support or training content
• Jointly with other experts you actively contribute to keeping our data safe and secure

We expect:

• You can show a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the industry
• You have experience in handling and evaluating large data sets: structured as well as unstructured
• Preferably you could already prove yourself in applying NLP techniques: e.g. you are familiar with subjects like word embeddings, topic clustering, sentiment analysis,…
• You are familiar with working in cloud environments (preferably Azure), ideally you already had 1st touchpoints with Databricks
• You show excellent coding skills in Python
• You have a solid Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including indices, constraints, transactions , and general optimizations
• You have a solid knowledge on distributed computation frameworks, e.g., Spark
• You have knowledge of version control, e.g., Git
