About your role

• Participate in the development of digital insurance solutions in a variety of European markets.
• Collaborate closely with internal and external clients to obtain data requirements for applications.
• Conduct quantitative analyses of existing insurance markets, solutions and competitors.
• Use Data Mining, Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning methods to detect patterns and develop business models driven by data
• Contribute to the team's data strategy
• Work in close collaboration with the underwriters to understand our data landscape.
• Connect with our clients to develop data collaboration models
• Explore alternative data providers for solution development

About you

• Degree in mathematics, statistics, informatics, or a related subject
• Necessary programming skills to convert your know-how into codes
• Familiar with R, Python, Java, Perl or C/C++ and SQL data
• Fit in SQL queries, business intelligence tools, data visualization, machine learning and are keen to learn even more
• Analyse, model and interpret data.
• Knowledge of the primary value chain and know how to technically implement solutions and products (end-to-end)
• You can come up with solutions to solve business problems
• Enjoy thinking out of the box and to encourage others with your ideas
• Ability to work independently and in a team (including cross functional teams) to contribute to the successful delivery of time-sensitive projects
• You speak excellent English and ideally also German, French or Italian

Bonus points for:

• Finance or insurance industry experience
• Technical / commercial knowledge of property or casualty business
