The Client:
Our client is a well-established organisation that has specialised in providing a range of hardware and software services across the resources sector.
With a proven operating track record, they are looking to increase the capability of their data analytics.
As such, they are looking for a Data Scientist Team Lead to join the organisation, and play a vital role in the team's growth.
Develop and deliver data solutions through the full lifecycle in collaboration with several software and data teams.
Utilise best practices in data focused solutions, proactive research into emerging trends, intimate understanding of market context inform the strategy
Identify gaps and innovative solutions to bridge any capability gaps and update the catalogue of Data Science services accordingly
Mentor a team of indirect reports of 2-3 data scientists and provide significant contribution to the development and implementation of the Data Science Roadmap
Key Experience Required:
Previous experience as a Senior/Lead Data Scientist across government/commercial clients.
Extensive experience solving analytical problems through quantitative approaches and machine learning methods
Familiarity of standard tools for clustering, dimensionality reduction, regression, and classification.
Proficient in Python or R (or both!) and ideally have strong experience in using languages, such as Java, C#, or shell scripts.
Good experience on Cloud environments such as Azure, Google or AWS
Ability to work within a product development group
