Machine Learning Engineer Intern

The Innovation and Responsible Investing Platform of NN Investment Partners is looking for an aspiring Machine Learning Engineer to join the Investment Science team.

Your impact as a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at NN

As an intern within the central innovation team, you will have an opportunity to get exposure to a variety of exciting projects integrating state-of-the-art AI/ML techniques into investment processes with the goal of delivering outperformance, extracting efficiency gains and helping with the ambition of leadership in Responsible Investing. The Investment Science team is heavily focused on projects involving Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Deep Learning.

The internship allowance for this internship is € 600,- gross based on a 36-hour working week.

Your responsibilities

• Data & Feature engineering
• Machine Learning model development, hyper-parameter tuning, testing and deployment
• Ensuring robustness of new and existing Machine Learning & Data pipelines
• Build and maintain AWS Cloud infrastructure

Who you are

• Degree in Computer Science, Econometrics or other technical field
• Strong interest in Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence including Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Deep Learning
• Solid Programming skills. Knowledge of Python is a must
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud tools, Apache Spark, Tensorflow (and/or PyTorch) and Scikit-learn is a big advantage
• Knowledge of Financial Markets and Sustainable (ESG) investing is a plus
