Senior Data Engineer bij Shipping Technology

Shipping Technology develops technology for (semi-)autonomous sailing vessels. This is done by using data collected from inland vessels, to develop a robust and efficient system. The gathered data is also used in products that are of immediate added value for a ship owner. For example, by reconstructing incidents in the ST Dashboard, or by generating reports that give insights into the performance of a ship. Our ST BRAIN connects to existing nautical equipment (GPS, depth sensors, radar, etc.). It collects, processes and delivers this information to applications running locally and sends this data to the cloud. Also in the cloud, a data pipeline is in place for ingestion, processing and delivery.

Your role

Our whole stack is being developed in house, and to expand and solidify our software we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer wit hthe following skills and experience;

Your profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar
• Master degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field
• Setting up and maintaining data pipelines
• Implementing cloud services
• Software engineering best practices
• Web development
• Teaching and coaching colleagues
• Affinity with (inland) shipping
• Dutch and English speaking
