Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Overview:

Invitro Capital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems. You will work closely with our Data Science and Engineering teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data-driven insights and develop scalable and efficient solutions. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of our portfolio companies and shape the future of AI-driven innovation.

Working Hours are from Monday's to Friday's, Pacific Time Zone.

Machine Learning Engineer, Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy machine learning models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
• Integrate computer vision techniques with OpenCV and deep learning frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into solutions using agile tools like Jira.
• Analyze large datasets with Hadoop and Spark to extract meaningful patterns.
• Optimize models for performance and scalability using cross-validation and hyperparameter tuning.
• Maintain data pipelines with Apache Airflow and ETL processes.
• Stay updated on machine learning trends and continuously improve models.
• Mentor junior team members and use Git for version control.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role, with a focus on integration and computer vision.
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team, including overseeing project timelines and deliverables.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
• Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQL and Pandas.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark).
• Understanding of NLP and computer vision techniques.
• Knowledge of cloud-based machine learning platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud AI Platform).
• Experience with model deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
