Senior Data Scientist

Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Description

Build systems analytics software to use and tune both supervised and unsupervised regression techniques from time series to regularized regression to gradient boosting to clustering for either continuous or categorical prediction results. Develop analytics pipelines to identify trends in credit attributes for each consumer and utilize the data for better marketing through our existing machine learning process. Automate complex analytical processes by building and deploying software solutions to perform advanced statistical analysis and data mining using a version control system and common data-manipulation software languages like SQL, R, Scala, Java, Python and Javascript. Collaborate with the applications team to improve address matching rates and enable seamless deployment of data processes at scale. Spearhead the effort to engineer one single source of data for both credit and non-credit information to reside to increase the speed of data science processes and provide a way for business to use data directly. Architect framework to analyze web activity data and perform NLP and data mining at scale to decipher marketing signals to enable our customers to perform online marketing at scale. Curate visualizations of analytical results for communicating with a wide range of audiences. Position reports to Deluxe Corporation office in Atlanta, GA, but incumbent can work from home anywhere in the United States. The company’s office location in Atlanta, GA will be moving to a new address within the same metropolitan area at 5565 Glenridge Connector NE, Atlanta, GA 30342 effective Fall 2021.

Job Requirements

The qualified candidate must have at least a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science/Engineering, or closely related degree. The qualified candidate must have at least 4 years (48 months) of experience as a Data Scientist, Design Engineer or closely related occupation; including at least 4 years (48 months) of experience working with the following tools and technologies: GIT, Linux, Python, R, Java, Shell Scripting, Microsoft SQL Server, OOPS, VStudio, Eclipse, VBA, Cron, and NLP. The qualified candidate must have at least 4 years (48 months) of experience (a) designing algorithms that transform large unstructured data into actionable business insights and structured data, (b) developing and maintaining analytics dashboards to deliver actionable insights, and (c) working closely with development team on software enhancement roadmaps using data automation frameworks. Position reports to Deluxe Corporation office in Atlanta, GA, but incumbent can work from home anywhere in the United States. All experience may be gained concurrently, before, during or after Master’s program.
