Role:
We are currently looking for a data engineer to join our team in Paris. The team is the wefox’s Advanced Innovation Team and our focus, as a cross-functional team, is to leverage machine learning to improve the customer experience, and to deliver innovative products like risk detection and risk prevention. As a data engineer you will be involved throughout the lifecycle of the development, with the responsibility of data workflows development: architecture, implementation, deployment and maintenance of data pipelines for machine learning.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, deploy, with your agile team, data pipelines to feed machine learning models.
  • Contribute in all phases of the development life cycle, and take ownership of your deployed data architecture and data pipelines.
  • Write well designed, testable and efficient code.
  • Work closely with product owners, devops, machine learning engineers, software engineers in an agile cross-functional team.
  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have a strategic and continuous improvement mentality.
  • Love for new technologies, clean architecture, coding in a decoupled way.
  • Keep abreast of industry news / updates and share your discoveries with others
What you bring:
  • Strong development skills to work on data processing with Python and/or Scala and/or other programming languages.
  • Knowledge and experience with data-related Python packages.
  • 2+ years of experience in data science / data engineering.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational DB.
  • Experience with Docker, kubernetes, build and CI/CD tools is a plus
  • Experience in code/system optimization is a plus
  • Interest in machine learning.
  • Experience in understanding product requirements.
  • Embrace ownership, autonomy and agile methodology.
  • Good English proficiency (Work in an international environment).
