Requirements - 2.1 or above in a highly numerate degree - Maths, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Chemistry etc.


Location - Manchester (North Side)


Salary - Up to £24,000


Work Pattern - Hybrid with 3 days in the office per week


Summary


We have a new, exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst with a UK leading company in Manchester, close to major transport links.


The role will include data analysis and use of data modelling, we are looking for skills in both SQL and Excel.


PLEASE NOTE - for this role we can consider applications from graduates who have SQL and Excel experience. This is an amazing opportunity for a graduate or junior analyst to work in a role with lots of training as well as excellent future career growth. There are certain criteria that we do need to meet.


  • Need to have the full time, permanent right to work.
  • 1 or above in a highly numerate degree - Maths, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Chemistry etc.
  • Need to be able to commute to Northern Manchester


You will need to answer a series of mathematical questions at interview stage for this position.


The Company


This is a company we have worked with for many years and placed numerous people into their data & analytics departments. It's a large company with significant operations in the UK and a well-known brand.


They offer all positions on a hybrid basis with 3 days a week in the office, for this role there may be further time in the office needed for training and their office is on the North Side of Manchester close to the M60, it is commutable from the city centre by train (then a 10 min walk).


Your Responsibilities / Accountabilities In This Role Will Be


This is a Data Analyst position focussed within the world of finance and pricing.


You will be expected to find market trends by analysing data. You will be expected to use the company data models to investigate supply and demand and pricing and look to optimize both for profit. The primary tools and technologies within this position are use of SQL and Excel as well as the company's existing data products.


You will have a good team of experts around you and this is an ideal role for a graduate or someone with some experience who is looking for training and development opportunities as these will be provided.


Requirements


  • Excel or SQL
  • Exposure to working with large data sets.
  • Able to apply a logical decision where data does not exist.
  • Ability to present findings back to stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • 1 or above in a highly numerate degree - Maths, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Chemistry etc.
