The Role in Brief:

ETL Engineer *LI

Role is ideally based in Richmond, VA.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for monitoring the Production Status, and ensure the ETL process works as expected; handle customer communication around production issues
• Manage pipeline of tickets and ensure on time delivery
• Work on projects focused on continuous improvement of the application support model and associated processes using appropriate technologies.
• Respond to system generated alerts/escalations relating to any failures on application platform.
• Perform root cause analysis and identify and implement corrective and preventive measures
• Document standards, processes and procedures relating to best practices, issues and resolutions
• Effectively manage multiple, competing priorities
• Be available on call (on rotation) in a support role

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent relevant experience
• Demonstrated mastery in SQL or other query language experience
• Demonstrated mastery with at least one of the ETL tools (preferably Talend)
• Experience working with ticketing systems like JIRA, Salesforce or others
• Experience working with globally distributed teams
• Experience with basic JAVA coding
• Strong communication skills at all levels of stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
• Flexible with time to provide after-hours support to meet critical deadlines

Even Better:

• Professional experience providing application support in a data warehouse environment
• Experience or familiarity with Unix/Linux command line or executing bash scripts
• Proven record of accomplishment in solution focused problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in an in a rapidly changing environment where documentation for job execution is not yet fully fleshed out
• Experience working with log analysis tools (Log entries/Compose)
